Cocker Spaniel Signed Limited Edition Print

Description

This is a piece painted for the owner.  Cookie is a beautiful Working Cocker Spaniel here in Sussex.  I always aim to capture an animal’s expression and it’s usually by getting the eyes right that this is done.

When creating a portrait, I always start with the eyes because then the animal has already come to life on the page so it’s incumbent upon me to provide the rest of its face while it watches me.  This way, I have company during the 20-30 hours that each portrait takes
